SEH is currenting searching for a Structural Vertical Engineer to join our talented Structural team! Why you'll love SEH: • Collaborate on amazing projects of varying size and complexity that positively impact communities • Being 100% employee-owned means we all share in the company's success • Career development through continued education, licensure/certification, skills, and technical training • Work arrangements that promote work/life balance • Flexible holidays enable individuals to tailor their festivities • Paid Family Leave provides time to care for loved ones, whether family by birth or family by choice Responsibilities include: • Structural analysis, design, and detailing of commercial and residential structural elements, including foundation systems, framing, and lateral force resisting systems, using a variety of structural material types including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. • Preparing structural calculation packages for small to midsize projects using structural analysis software such as RISA, RAM, and Tekla Tedds. • Work as part of the structural design team on large, complex projects • Using Autodesk REVIT to produce structural models and construction documents • Using structural design codes including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, PCI, NDS • Writing and/or compiling specifications for structure elements • Creating quantity take offs and cost estimates for structure elements • Review of shop drawings and submittals during construction administration • Working collaboratively with teammates within the structural group and outside the group on larger multi-discipline projects/tasks Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on structural analysis and design. • Understanding of basic structural engineering fundamental concepts and practices • Registration as an Engineering Intern or completion of FE exam required, PE preferred. • Working experience with REVIT Structure to produce construction documents • Applicant should have knowledge of structural steel design, reinforced concrete design, CMU, and/or structural timber design and be familiar with structural analysis software that may include RISA, RAM, LPile, or other similar programs. • The applicant should be familiar with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and NDS design codes • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation for occasional day trips. • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel may be required. • A positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative environment with other team members. Preferred Qualifications: • 3-5 years of previous structural building design experience • Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering • Other structural design experience or general familiarity with either water/wastewater, drainage, aviation facilities, or transportation structures. • PE license in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months • NCEES record, or ability to obtain NCEES record within 12 months of start date Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $80,000 and $110,000 based on skill set and experience.
