Overview

We are hiring four professionals to support WMATA's Structural Inspection, Quality Control, and Maintenance Engineering programs. These roles are essential to ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of WMATA's structural assets. Candidates will work in the field conducting inspections, documenting deficiencies, and coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams to address structural issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections of bridges, tunnels, aerial structures, and station elements.
  • Perform quality control reviews and prepare detailed inspection reports.
  • Identify and document structural deficiencies in accordance with NBIS and AASHTO standards.
  • Issue red/yellow flags and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain inspection logs, test records, and quality documentation.

  • Salary Range:
  • QC Junior (3-5 years, N-I cert.): $32.40-$39.60/hr
  • QC Senior (10+ years, N-III cert.): $43.20-$52.80/hr
