Based in
Huntsville, the
Structural Engineering Intern will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility scale power generating facilities. This is a new position. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $92,000 annually.
What You'll Do:As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:
- Perform pre-engineering inspections and surveys
- Complete, check, and review technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations
- Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications
- Complete preliminary and detailed design and specifications for structural projects (e.g. transportation structures and commercial, residential, and industrial buildings)
- Assist with tenders, proposals, and cost estimates
- Participate in public and stakeholder consultation
- Perform construction inspections
- Assist with project management and construction administration

Who You Are: - You are a registered Civil Engineering Intern
- You have 0-3 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industry
- Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN is considered an asset
- You are proficient in AutoCAD
- Bridge design experience is an asset
- You are willing to travel when necessary
- You can exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
- You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidance
What You Should Bring:The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Additionally, you should have:

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
