Structural Engineer - Steel Truss Bridge Design
Location: Cambridge, Ohio (Hybrid work flexibility available)

Position Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with proven experience in the design of steel truss bridges for vehicular and pedestrian applications. This position plays a key role in advancing U.S. Bridge's reputation for precision engineering and reliability. The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with creative problem-solving and a collaborative approach to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structural analysis and design of steel truss and beam bridges for vehicular and pedestrian projects.
  • Prepare detailed engineering calculations, design drawings, and specifications in accordance with AASHTO LRFD, state DOT, and local standards.
  • Collaborate with internal fabrication, drafting, and field teams to ensure constructability and cost-effectiveness of designs.
  • Conduct load rating analyses, inspections, and rehabilitation assessments for existing bridge structures.
  • Provide technical input for proposals, cost estimates, and project feasibility studies.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Coordinate with project managers to maintain schedules, budgets, and quality standards across multiple concurrent projects.
