What You'll DoEngineering Leadership- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CAD drafters and designers.
- Review drawings, calculations, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Establish drafting and engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
Structural Engineering- Design and analyze structural systems for residential manufactured home building projects.
- Perform structural calculations and engineering evaluations using approved software and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and national building codes.
- Review and approve construction documents, specifications, and design modifications.
- Apply your professional engineering seal to drawings, calculations, and engineering documents where required.
Project Management- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with customers, third-party agencies, and regulatory authorities throughout the approval process.
- Provide technical support during construction, manufacturing, and installation phases.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.
- Ability to stamp and seal structural drawings and engineering documents.
- Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring drafting/design teams.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building codes.
- Experience with structural analysis and engineering software.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and construction drawing review.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience within modular, manufactured, residential, or light commercial construction.
- Multi-state engineering licensure or ability to obtain additional state licenses.
- Experience working with third-party reviewing agencies and code compliance organizations.
Travel Requirements- Moderate travel required (approximately 10%).
- Travel may include visits to manufacturing facilities, project sites, customer meetings, regulatory agencies, and field inspections.
