Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for the Structural Concrete Division, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support divisional growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Establish performance expectations, accountability standards, and consistent operating practices across all structural concrete projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop superintendents, foremen, and future field leaders while supporting succession planning and workforce development.
  • Maintain ownership of divisional budgets, forecasts, labor productivity, equipment utilization, production rates, and overall financial performance.
  • Analyze project and divisional performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions needed to improve results.
  • Ensure projects are properly staffed, planned, equipped, and supported with the resources required for successful execution.
  • Monitor project schedules, production goals, resource allocation, and field execution while proactively addressing operational deficiencies.
  • Conduct regular field visits, spending approximately 25-40% of working time evaluating operations, supporting project teams, and reinforcing company expectations.
  • Build strong working relationships with executive leadership, project management, superintendents, foremen, and field personnel to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Standardize best practices and develop systems that improve productivity, quality, communication, project controls, and profitability.
  • Evaluate labor tracking, forecasting, production reporting, and operational processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in annual business planning, budgeting, staffing, equipment planning, and growth initiatives.
  • Support business development and estimating efforts by providing operational input regarding project opportunities, resource requirements, and potential risks.
  • Identify root causes of operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions that improve divisional performance and accountability.
