Job Summary and QualificationsCoordinates the clinical management of the stroke patient population and their families across the entire continuum of care. Serves as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement initiative. Acts as a clinical resource/ role model for all areas caring for stroke patients. Provides and/or coordinates educational activities for both staff and patients. Acts as a community liaison on behalf of the program and hospital. Directly involved in the marketing/promotion of services provided. Incorporated within each of these role functions, the stroke coordinator is a role model, patient advocate, change agent, leader, and cost-effective practitioner.
What qualifications you will need:- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or compact license
- Bachelors Degree required
- SCRN Certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Neurosciences or Emergency Care field
