Overall purpose of role:
The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for leading and executing high-impact business, operational, and process improvement initiatives that support MPT strategic objectives. This role serves as a key partner to functional and site leaders, driving cross-functional projects from concept through implementation while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and delivering measurable business results.
The successful candidate will combine strong project management discipline, business acumen, analytical capabilities, and change leadership skills to advance strategic initiatives across operations, supply chain, quality, engineering, customer experience, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Project Leadership- Lead complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives that support MPT operational and business objectives.
- Partner with executive sponsors and functional leaders to define project vision, scope, objectives, and expected outcomes.
- Develop project charters, business cases, success metrics, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans and execution roadmaps.
- Facilitate executive-sponsored programs and ensure achievement of intended business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational performance (i.e., productivity, customer experience, quality, and cost competitiveness).
- Drive initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness (i.e. automation, process optimization, digital transformation, operational excellence).
Project Execution & Governance- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, resource plans, and governance structures.
- Manage project execution through all phases while maintaining alignment to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business objectives.
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution among cross-functional stakeholders.
- Establish project governance methods that ensure accountability, transparency, and successful execution.
- Provide concise and effective executive-level project reporting, communications, and presentations.
- Manage project documentation, lessons learned, and standard work to support organizational learning.
Stakeholder & Change Management- Build strong partnerships across operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, finance, customer service, and business leadership teams.
- Develop communication and stakeholder engagement plans that drive alignment and adoption.
- Lead project teams without direct authority through influence, facilitation, and collaboration.
- Support change management activities, including training, communication, readiness assessment, and sustainment planning.
- Facilitate workshops, strategic planning sessions, and cross-functional problem-solving activities.
Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement- Utilize data analytics and business insights to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
- Measure and track project benefits, ensuring sustainable business impact.
- Apply Lean, Continuous Improvement, and structured problem-solving methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Support development of performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Contribute to strategic planning activities and annual operating plan initiatives.

Knowledge & Qualifications:
Required- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, operational excellence, continuous improvement, strategic planning, consulting, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale cross-functional projects with measurable business impact.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, project leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
- Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred- PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or equivalent project management/continuous improvement certification.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience leading operational improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to financial analysis, capital planning, and business case development.

Location and any travel requirements:
- Location: Middleboro, MA
- Hybrid: Onsite 3 days/week - working regular business hours, with availability to flex based on needs across time zones
- Travel: Will range from 20-50% based on current project needs and may include international travel.

Total RewardsThe compensation range for this position is $97,000.00 - $145,400.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
