Full Job Description
Job Summary

You will be responsible for providing site wide support for the generation of cost/price detail including proposals, Task Plans, ROM's, what-if exercises, etc. through utilization of GKN approved pricing tools and proper application of GKN GG's published rates and factors. Provide audit support, analysis of cost information in support of customer and GKN management reviews, compliance reviews to ensure GKN is consistent with internal as well as Government regulations, review to ensure adequacy of supporting cost detail (i.e. Basis of Estimates) and required approval of pricing detail.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals for government and prime contractor customers, including detailed pricing models and supporting documentation
  • Price Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs), and modifications
  • Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, other applicable government regulations, and solicitation instructions, including Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TINA)
  • Support compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and company Disclosure Statement
  • Coach contributors on BOE quality, data standards, and estimating best practices
  • Develop and maintain pricing volumes for competitive and sole-source proposals
  • Participate in customer negotiations as pricing lead, providing cost rationale and risk analysis
  • Support internal and external audits related to pricing and cost compliance
  • Partner with Contracts, Capture/BD, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Legal to align strategy, schedule, and compliance
  • Evaluate gaps in the competitiveness of our offerings and provide concrete plans to regain best in class offerings to not only close the gaps, but to set new market standards.
  • Set strategic pricing for these offerings based on an evaluation of our competitiveness to drive maximum return on our investments.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database that benchmarks the competitiveness of our product and service offerings against our current and potential future competitors.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Finance Accounting or Engineering
  • 5 - 10 years of manufacturing environment work experience
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: proposal pricing, cost estimating, government contracting (FAR), project life cycles, and project milestones
  • Experience in a project environment preparing technical proposals.
  • Experience with project reporting, contract administration, cost/schedule planning, cost analysis and cost estimating.
  • Knowledge of machining methods, production processes and techniques, materials, tools, drawing systems, technical manuals, (military)applicable regulations and the like.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Independent judgment and interpretation of the calculation outcomes and can clearly convey insights of the result and the relevant aspects within the quotation team and to other stakeholders.
  • Can handle time constraints and working to tight timelines.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Aerospace industry highly desirable
  • Understanding and experience with complex technical and commercial proposal requests from customers (Aerospace OEMs) and able to translate them into manageable work packages.
  • Experience running projects involving multi-disciplinary teams under challenging time constraints.
  • Knowledge of MS office Suite.


Compensation Data

Salary Range: $117,946.00 - $147,946.00
