Full Job Description
We're looking for a Local Partnerships Lead to serve as Meta's dedicated, full-time presence in Ohio - a locally rooted relationship-builder who can develop meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships with universities, sports teams, creators, local media, and civic and cultural organizations. This is a builder role for someone with deep local relationships who thrives working independently on the ground.

Responsibilities

Serve as Meta's local representative in the assigned region, building and sustaining strong, lasting relationships with community institutions and leaders
• Develop and manage mutually beneficial partnerships with local universities, sports teams, creators, local and regional media, and cultural organizations
• Design and deliver local programs and initiatives that create shared value for the community and for Meta. Act as a two-way bridge - sharing community priorities and feedback with Meta, and helping Meta maintain a strong local presence
• Bring Meta's national programs (e.g., education initiatives) to life locally
• Represent Meta at local events, facility tours, and community moments, and strengthen relationships with community leaders and partners
• Manage local partnership agreements and budgets, and collaborate with central partnerships, policy, communications, and economic development teams. In particular, partner closely with Meta's Community Development and Public Affairs teams so that partnership work complements existing community efforts
• Track and report on the reach and impact of local partnerships and programs
• Travel to communities throughout the state as needed (up to 50%)

Minimum Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in community engagement, partnerships, public affairs, economic development, or a related field
• Established relationships and credibility with stakeholders in Ohio (e.g., education, business, media, and community leaders)
• Demonstrated experience in building and managing external partnerships from the ground up
• Proven ability to operate autonomously and lead initiatives in-region with minimal day-to-day oversight
• Experience communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders, including representing an organization to senior external audiences

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience engaging communities around major development or infrastructure initiatives
• An established network across Ohio universities, sports, media, and cultural institutions
• A background in partnerships / business development
• Experience adapting national programs into local execution
• Master of Public Administration or Master of Business Administration
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
