Sherpa 6 is seeking a Strategic Operations Analyst to support PM Mobile Brigade Combat Team (PM MBCT) in support of the Capability Portfolio Executive (CPE) Ground mission. This position supports strategic planning, organizational integration, acquisition activities, stakeholder coordination, and executive-level communications across a dynamic Army modernization portfolio. The successful candidate is a self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills who thrives in ambiguous environments, builds strong relationships across organizations, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and works independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Portfolio Integration- Support strategic planning, portfolio synchronization, and organizational integration efforts across PM MBCT.
- Coordinate with government leadership, acquisition teams, engineers, and external stakeholders to support modernization initiatives and organizational priorities.
- Conduct research, analyze information, and develop products and recommendations that support leadership decision-making.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities while managing multiple efforts simultaneously.
Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Support- Build relationships with stakeholders across government and industry to gather information, coordinate activities, and support organizational initiatives.
- Independently engage stakeholders to gather information, coordinate activities, and drive organizational initiatives forward.
- Prepare and deliver executive briefings, dashboards, reports, and decision-support products for senior leaders, including General Officers.
- Support meetings, governance boards, working groups, and executive engagements by preparing materials, tracking actions, and facilitating coordination.
Acquisition & Program Support- Support acquisition planning, portfolio management activities, and cross-functional coordination across PM MBCT.
- Assist with tracking program activities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to translate leadership objectives into executable actions.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn Army acquisition processes, modernization initiatives, and portfolio management practices.
Process Improvement & Organizational Effectiveness - Identify opportunities to improve organizational processes, communication, and workflow efficiency.
- Develop and maintain governance documentation, standard operating procedures, trackers, dashboards, and other organizational tools.
- Recommend practical solutions that improve visibility, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support implementation of new organizational processes and change initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Organizational Leadership, Management, Public Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting DoD, Army, acquisition, modernization, program management, or strategic operations organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships, influence stakeholders, and work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
- Experience preparing executive briefings, presentations, reports, dashboards, or other decision-support products.
- Active Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting Army acquisition or modernization organizations.
- Familiarity with DoD governance processes or portfolio management.
- DAWIA certification or willingness to pursue acquisition training.
- Experience briefing senior leaders and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
- Active Top Secret Clearance.

Salary RangeThe proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.
