Full Job Description
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Simpli.fi is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Strategic Finance professional to join our FP&A team. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, this role focuses on capital allocation, investment analysis, long-range planning, and corporate development initiatives that support growth and enterprise value creation.

You will partner with Senior and Executive Leadership to evaluate strategic opportunities, assess growth & efficiency opportunities, and provide the financial insights that drive long-term business performance. This role plays a critical part in financial modeling, investment evaluation, and strategic decision making across the business.

This position offers direct exposure to executive leadership, board-level decision-making, and corporate development initiatives. You'll gain broad visibility across the business while helping shape decisions that impact growth, profitability, and value creation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Build and maintain advanced financial models, including 3-statement models, DCF valuations, scenario analysis, and investment return frameworks
  • Support capital allocation decisions, long term planning, and strategic initiatives through financial modeling and investment analysis
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, market expansion initiatives, strategic investments, partnerships, and M&A opportunities through financial modeling, ROI analysis, and due diligence
  • Conduct financial, competitive, and market analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and key business drivers
  • Develop business cases and scenario analyses to support executive decision making and strategic priorities
  • Prepare executive leadership and Board-level materials that communicate strategic recommendations, investment opportunities, and key insights
  • Partner with business leaders across the organization to evaluate major initiatives, investments, and resource allocation decisions
  • Analyze financial, operational, and customer data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Leverage advanced analytics, automation, and AI tools to enhance decision support and financial insight generation
  • Translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for executive stakeholders


YOU'LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Development, Strategic Finance, Transaction Advisory or a related analytical role
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills, including integrated operating models and valuation frameworks
  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial statements, cash flow mechanics, and valuation methodologies
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required
  • Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and Business Intelligence tools preferred
  • SQL, data querying, and AI tool familiarity strongly preferred
  • Strong ability to connect financial analysis with operational and strategic business drivers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience supporting executive-level decision-making
  • High intellectual curiosity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
