The Lockheed Martin Government Affairs (LMGA) Strategic Deterrence Programs Director supports all LM Business Areas as needed and must have extensive strategic deterrent mission experience for this role. This Director reports into the LMGA Strategic, Space, Missile Defense, and Technology (SSMT) Vice President and will lead the Strategic Deterrence mission portfolio. The Strategic Deterrence team currently has team members in Crystal City, VA, Omaha, NE, Valley Forge, PA, Albuquerque, NM, Layton, UT, & Bossier City, LA.
The LMGA Strategic Deterrence Programs Director leads an integrated customer facing capability for the long-term growth of Lockheed Martin programs contributing to U.S. strategic deterrence. Program examples include Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM), Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), Bomber Operations, Conventional and Nuclear Integration (CNI), Long Range Strike, Theater Nuclear Forces (TNF), and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3). As the LMGA Strategic Deterrence Programs Director, the Director is responsible for developing executive-level working relationships with the United States Executive Branch and stakeholders to facilitate the discovery, evaluation, qualification, and development of new business opportunities and "keep sold" activities on strategic deterrence programs of record. In general, this Director must have leadership, experience and communication skills to support key LM programs.
The work site for this position is Omaha, NE, in our office adjacent to United States Strategic Command. We will also consider candidates able to work from our Crystal City, VA, office.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Support corporate, program, and business area organizations to establish and achieve business objectives, with specific expertise in DoW, Joint, and strategic deterrent matters.
• Drive cross-mission, cross-business area horizontal integration among the business areas and lines of business.
• Support Space, MFC, RMS and Aeronautics programs contributing to the nation's strategic deterrent mission.
• Maintain currency on political and military developments affecting LM's Strategic programs and provide perspective to ensure LM positively influences Executive Branch decision making.
• Participate in strategy reviews and other business meetings, providing subject matter expertise on DoW and Strategic issues, priorities, "voice of the customer" and related insights.
• Travel is necessary to support LM business activities, customer engagements, and field office visits.

Basic Qualifications
• Experience in DoW strategic deterrence programs, sustainment, acquisition, budgeting, and/or requirements.
• AF ICBM Operations / Maintenance, AF Bomber Operations / Maintenance, or Acquisition expertise.
• Active Top Secret clearance, with eligibility for TS/SCI.
• Ability to work proactively in support of all LM Business Area strategies.
• Ability to initiate customer communications and develop long-term relationships in support of business goals.
• Knowledge of and experience with DoW / Joint Force customers, industry partners and competitors.
• Diplomatic and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external senior executives.
• Highly developed communications and leadership skills.

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Minimum of 15 years AF ICBM Operations/Maintenance, Bomber Operations/Maintenance, or Acquisition experience.
• Demonstrated AF, DoW and Joint Force customer intimacy.
• AF ICBM Operations / Maintenance, AF Bomber Operations / Maintenance, or AF Acquisition experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute customer engagement campaigns in the pursuit of business objectives.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Defense Budgeting and DoW acquisition processes.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 - $309,120. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
