Strategic Competition Analyst
The Opportunity:

You9ll bring your analytical and strategic background to work on projects for the Joint Combatant Commands account. As a Strategic Competition Analyst, your research and analytical skills will bolster execution of Department of Defense implementation guidance, as well as development of joint doctrine, concepts, and assessments that prepare the current and future Joint Force. You9ll evaluate complex systems, processes, and policies, and generate recommendations to enhance Joint Force conceptual understanding and operational effectiveness.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience with researching, writing, and providing recommendations pertaining to national security, strategic competition, or irregular warfare
  • 4+ years of experience developing, producing, or synchronizing strategic or campaign level assessments
  • Experience supporting strategic or operational planning on the United States military staff such as Joint Staff or Combatant Commands
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense and national security issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with senior military and civilian leaders
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of effort under rigid timelines
  • Ability to help manage multi-stakeholder forums and capture key outputs for senior leaders
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor9s degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Department of Defense doctrine, education, concept development and experimentation, training, exercises, and lessons learned
  • Experience with the Joint Staff Planning Process or the Joint Operation Planning Process
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Master9s degree in security studies, international affairs, or public policy

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual9s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen9s total compensation package for employees.
