Job Description

SAIC is seeking a Strategic Advisor to deliver Systems Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA) services supporting an Intelligence Community (IC) customer in Chantilly, VA. This position is at the Directorate front office level, and assists the Chief of Staff, the Exec, and Directorate front office in advising the SES level Directors. The organization leads the development and execution of over 200 development contracts of ground software supporting the IC.

Apply your expertise to shape messaging to external visitors, Directorate and SPO engagements, and the Directorate workforce. You will assess TIER action items, provide input for reviews like the Program Status Review, the Quarterly Performance Review, draft all hands talking points, etc. You will also provide input on processes like travel coordination approval, Directorate and SPO level engagements, promotions and retirements, Program Management reviews and Directorate templates. You will directly support the front office of an acquisition organization of several hundred government, contractor and FFRDC team-members. You will have the opportunity to provide acquisition and technical input to ongoing and future development efforts.

  • Assess stakeholder objectives and priorities, ensuring alignment with Directorate National-level strategies
  • Develop and monitor metrics frameworks
  • Demonstrate thought leadership for Directorate initiatives
  • Develop innovative approaches to streamline recurring strategic plan reviews, processes and procedures
  • Maintain awareness of latest software development and acquisition trends
  • Stay current on emerging technologies including artificial intelligence


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 14+ years relevant experience or Master's degree with 12+ years in business/marketing, computer science, engineering, or cyber related field
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
  • General knowledge of space systems and Ground systems
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to multitask
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, briefing, and writing skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success working on cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills; aptitude for on-site SETA work
