Position Overview

We are seeking a high-potential Strategic Advisor & Engagement Lead to support the growth and evolution of our Public Sector consulting practice. This individual will serve as both a trusted client advisor and an engagement leader, partnering closely with practice leadership to drive strategic client outcomes, delivery excellence, operational transformation, and practice growth.

This role reports directly to the Director and will play an active role in influencing practice strategy, client growth opportunities, service evolution, and AI-enabled consulting innovation.

While technical fluency is important, this role is centered on strategic leadership, business transformation, and cross-functional collaboration rather than deep engineering expertise. The ideal candidate is highly client-facing, influence-oriented, proactive, and entrepreneurial. They should be equally comfortable facilitating strategic discussions with clients, leading delivery execution, managing engagement financials, and helping shape the future direction of the practice.

We are looking for someone who can bridge business and technical conversations, guide implementation teams strategically, solve complex organizational problems, and build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic advisory engagements with Federal/SLED clients, serving as a trusted advisor and facilitating discovery, planning, alignment, and transformation discussions.
  • Oversee client engagement delivery, including timelines, deliverables, risks, budgets, forecasting, staffing needs, communication, and overall engagement health.
  • Partner across consulting and technical teams to translate complex business, organizational, and technology challenges into actionable plans and successful delivery outcomes.
  • Support practice growth by identifying client needs, expansion opportunities, service improvements, and ways to scale delivery quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Explore opportunities to apply AI and emerging technologies to improve consulting delivery, client outcomes, and practice innovation.
  • Maintain a 60% utilization target while balancing delivery quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.


Ideal Candidate Background

Experience
  • 4-8 years of consulting experience

Required
  • Active Secret Clearance or willingness to obtain one
  • Must acquire Atlassian certification by passing two Atlassian Certified Professional exams and maintain them by achieving additional Atlassian CE Credits
  • Experience in client-facing consulting roles
  • Experience leading workstreams, projects, or small engagements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred
  • Federal consulting experience
  • Organizational transformation experience
  • Change management exposure
  • Experience managing budgets or engagement financials

This position is primarily a work from home position and we consider applicants throughout the United States. We support pay transparency and the On-Target Earnings (OTE - which includes base salary, bonus, and other incentives) range for this position is between $110,000 - $180,000 combined plus a suite of employee benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with an employer contribution. Actual compensation can vary based on qualifications, experience, additional incentive opportunities, and geographic pay differentials.
