Responsibilities

  • Lead the storage team for 24/7 global operational support for storage systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and government stakeholders on requirements and SLA compliance
  • Deploy and maintain major storage technologies during SDLC
  • Monitor allocation, provision, configuration, and throughput while analyzing service metrics
  • Execute all data backup, replication, and recovery services, leading disaster recovery exercises
  • Manage patching and security of data, fulfilling cybersecurity requirements
  • Oversee transfer of solutions from engineering through testing and validation
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and drive continuous service improvement efforts

Job Title: Storage Services Lead

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the storage team in providing global, 24/7 operational support and break/fix activities for all physical and virtual storage systems (SAN, NAS, object, cloud)
  • Serves as the primary liaison, collaborating with internal engineering team and government stakeholders to refine requirements, ensure SLA compliance, and guarantee system availability, reliability, and resiliency
  • Deploys, operates, and maintains major storage technologies (including Brocade, Data Domain, Dell FluidFS, NetApp, and Dell Storage Center) during the operational System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Monitors and manages efficient allocation, provisioning, configuration, security, and throughput. Analyzes service-level metrics to maintain optimal infrastructure utilization and prevent incidents
  • Directs and executes all data backups, replication, verification, and restoral services to meet time-to-restore/recover SLAs. Leads disaster recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) exercises
  • Oversees continuous patch management and maintain physical and logical security of data at rest and in transit. Manages Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) development to meet cybersecurity requirements
  • Manages the transfer of engineered solutions from Engineering teams through Blue/Green fielding. Develops test cases and use Lab facilities to promote incident resolution and validate acceptance tests
  • Oversees the creation, quality control, and timely delivery of mandated Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). Drives Continual Service Improvement (CSI) and maintains knowledge base SOPs.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Must hold a current Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage service-level agreements (SLAs), and coordinate with engineering and (government) stakeholders
  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) - ONTAP or an equivalent OEM vendor certification
  • DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+)
  • An AA and 14+ years of experience, BS/BA and 12+ years of experience, MS/MA and 10+ years of experience, or PhD and 8+ years of experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience integrating, operating, and maintaining IT hardware and software solutions (specifically enterprise storage systems)
  • Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies.


Desired:
  • Degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering
  • Experience leading a distributed technical team
  • Familiarity with IC ITE services and classified environments
  • Proven experience conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), researching new technologies, and articulating infrastructure evolution benefits to stakeholders
  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
