Summary

The Integration Engineer develops, implements, and optimizes solutions that integrate diverse applications, systems, networks, and servers across the enterprise. This role evaluates existing components and architectures to determine integration requirements and ensures that final end-to-end solutions meet organizational and mission needs. The engineer troubleshoots system issues, improves performance, documents system interactions, manages configuration baselines, and collaborates across engineering, development, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, verification, and validation. The position also supports configuration management (CM) activities, acquisition-lifecycle assessments, requirements traceability, and change-control processes while coordinating technical updates with stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement integration solutions spanning applications, systems, networks, and servers across departments or enterprise units.
  • Evaluate existing components and architectures to determine integration requirements and ensure final solutions meet organizational objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and debug system-integration issues to improve performance, data quality, and system reliability.
  • Document system interactions and create visual representations of system architectures, inputs, and outputs.
  • Optimize deployments, maintenance, and system operations to ensure integrated functionality.
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure proper system integration, verification, and validation throughout development and deployment phases.
  • Provide recommendations and support for requirements-management activities.
  • Generate, review, revise, update, and maintain configuration baselines and documentation.
  • Serve as a technical liaison for change-control processes, coordinating updates and approvals.
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, management, and end-users to coordinate technical changes and integration efforts.
  • Identify model elements and documentation required for system design, development, testing, launch, and operations.
  • Define and implement the appropriate level of configuration management (CM) for configuration items.
  • Ensure traceability of system requirements by linking or delinking artifacts across multiple engineering products.
  • Prepare configuration-management status reports, metrics, and documentation for project reviews and milestone events.
  • Audit configuration items to verify conformance with specifications, drawings, and interface control documents.
  • Analyze impacts to system performance, sustainment, and supportability across all stages of the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute CM activities and products in support of audits, reviews, and milestone decisions.
  • Additional duties as assigend or required.


What we are looking for

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field.
  • Experience integrating applications, systems, networks, and/or databases across enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, data flows, interfaces, and systems engineering principles.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving system-integration issues.
  • Proficiency documenting system interactions, workflows, and integration diagrams.
  • Knowledge of configuration management practices, version control, traceability, and audit processes.
  • Experience with requirements management, verification, and validation processes.
  • Familiarity with change-control procedures and serving as a technical liaison for configuration or system updates.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating system performance and assessing lifecycle impacts.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, development, and customer teams.
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate integration activities, and support milestone-driven environments.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.


Physical Requirements

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
