Job Description

General Purpose of Job :

Responsible for administrative oversight and continuation of the TCI cardiology clinics and hospital rounding services in collaboration with the members of the TCI Cardiology team. Responsible for day-to-day clinical operations in the Lansing office as well as clinical support for TCI Affiliate locations. Serves as liaison, educator, and manager for the area. Advocates for and allocates available resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate care based on current standards of practice and evidenced-based care. Coordinate activities between defined areas and provides clinical and administrative leadership and expertise. The Clinical Manager provides nursing care and triage when appropriate.

Essential Duties :

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.
• Manages, hires, evaluates, support and determines clinical operations, schedules, staffing patterns, needs, hours of MAs, RNs and APPs in the TCI Lansing Cardiology clinic and TCI service at Sparrow Main.
• Management and implementation of assigned TCI Division clinical projects.
• Supports clinical services by direct oversight and participation as needed.
• In conjunction with the Quality Manager/Quality Analysist, Director of CV Practices and TCI Medical Director develops, implements and monitors quality assurance standards for the TCI Lansing offices as well as supports leadership at TCI Affiliate locations as needed.
• In cooperation with Director of CV Practices, monitors clinical purchases and expenses to ensure budget performance.
• Ensures compliance with Hospital, State, Federal, Joint Commission and accreditation regulations/standards in reference to patient care and the physical environment.
• Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment in the Lansing office and supports leadership at TCI affiliate locations that minimizes work related illness and injury
• Establishes policies, procedures and protocols necessary to accomplish daily tasks, processes and long range goals consistent with standards established by TCI and SMG.
• In conjunction with the Director of CV Practices and physicians, develops and monitors key performance indicators on a regular basis. Recommends action plans to correct any negative variances.
• Coordinates the development of educational materials and protocols for clinical practice, including providing counseling to patients and family members in relation to health and family matters, developmental needs and crises.
• Develops ambulatory clinic policies and procedures as deemed necessary, in conjunction with division administration and caregivers.
• Works with Risk Management and HR to ensure appropriate documentation and protocols are current and followed.
• Serves as a role model for consistent demonstration of Sparrow Health System's Customer Service Behavioral Standards of Performance, by respecting the Privacy and Confidentiality of those we serve.
• Demonstrates knowledge and respects patient, service provider, and organizational confidentiality and HIPAA Security procedures and protocols as defined under the HIPAA Privacy Procedures.
• Follows established HIPAA privacy procedures when using and/or disclosing protected health information.
• Works collaboratively with TCI Leadership team to ensure cohesive work environment as well as maximizing efficient in ambulatory office scheduling and support to ensure positive experience at TCI for both patients and caregivers.
• Serves as participant/liaison in project development and attends committee meetings as assigned.
• Supports clinical services by direct oversight and participation as needed.
• Provides communication and interpretation to direct the implementation of clinical service policies and programs through out the TCI division.
• Performs all duties of a RN as defined on the Registered Nurse (RN) job description.

Work Experience
• Three years cardiology experience • Two years supervisor experience.

Education
• Bachelor's of Nursing. • BCLS.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
• Strong computer, data systems, and/or electronic medical records (EMR) skills. • Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills • Requires excellent customer service skills • Needs strong leadership skills • Must be well organized and able to manage time effectively Knowledge, Skills and Experience Preferred: • Advanced computer skills. EMR experience. • Cardiovascular experience • Cardiovascular/arrhythmia knowledge • Ambulatory experience
