In this position...

We are seeking an experienced stamping tooling professional to support post-sourcing tooling execution and financial performance. This role focuses on tracking tooling changes, die rework, and engineering updates while maintaining alignment with approved tooling budgets and STS operating standards.

STS (Stamping Tooling Specialist) standards define the processes, quality expectations, and execution discipline required to support successful tooling delivery and launch readiness.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical stamping tooling expertise and business acumen, ensuring changes are executed efficiently and tooling investments are tracked and controlled.

The Stamping Tooling Program Specialist supports the financial tracking and execution of stamping tooling following construction release. This role ensures engineering changes, product updates, and die rework activities are implemented in accordance with timing, quality, and cost objectives.

Working within established Stamping Tooling Specialist (STS) processes and tooling standards, this position monitors tooling spend, supports supplier execution, and contributes to performance metric development.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Track tooling expenditures and support adherence to approved budgets.


  • Document and evaluate cost impacts related to engineering changes and die modifications.
  • Collect and analyze performance data to support KPI tracking and supplier performance insights.
  • Support development and maintenance of tool shop performance metrics.
  • Operate within STS standards, tooling construction processes, and WDX expectations.
  • Support Yellow Item tracking and resolution activities.
  • Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, tool shops, and program managers to support tooling execution and timing alignment.
  • Provide technical and cost information to support program decision-making and risk awareness.


Qualifications

You have...
  • Bachelors of Engineering (pref Mechnical, Industrial or Electrical)
  • 5+ years in stamping tooling construction, tryout, and die rework processes.
  • Experience supporting tooling changes following construction release.
  • Familiarity with tooling budgets and cost tracking processes.
  • Understanding of engineering change implementation.
  • Experience working within structured processes and standards (STS or similar).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Experience working with automotive tool shops and launch activities.
  • Familiarity with KPI tracking and performance metrics.
  • Exposure to global tool shop operations.
  • Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $63,480-106,680.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid (onsite four days per week) for candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location or remote for non-local candidates.
