Job Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced UX Designer to impact the health insurance industry. The ideal candidate will excel in UX and visual design, and seamlessly switch between tactical and strategic tasks. You should have a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences in complex environments and a deep understanding of our business goals.

As a UX Designer, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to prioritize work based on value, creating intuitive and visually compelling experiences for members, agents, employers, and providers.

What You'll Do
  • Tackle complex challenges by understanding user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop user-centered design strategies.
  • Identify pain points in enterprise workflows and propose design enhancements.
  • Lead the end-to-end design process to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with business objectives and user needs.
  • Communicate design rationale and decisions to stakeholders and team members.
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for UX in business goals.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design with business objectives.
  • Communicate design concepts effectively and foster a collaborative design process.

  • Plan, conduct, and analyze user testing sessions to validate design decisions.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 3+ years of experience in related field.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.
