Terms: Full-time - Permanent

Salary (CAD): $81,700.00 - $100,000.00 (Commensurate with experience)

This salary range reflects the expected starting salary based on qualifications and experience. This is not the full salary range for the position. Opportunities for growth within the full salary range are available in alignment with organizational policies and individual / organizational performance. The offer package provided to the successful candidate will be based on experience, qualifications and other relevant factors.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Staff Technologist is a key member of the ISO 15189 Plus™ Program team. This team is responsible for delivering ISO 15189 Plus™ accreditation services to medical laboratories and diagnostic imaging facilities across Canada and internationally, supporting excellence in quality management, patient safety, and diagnostic service delivery.

The Staff Technologist is responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting assessment activities for medical laboratory accreditation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of, and participation in, accreditation assessments and the analysis of accreditation evidence following assessments.
  • Review and analysis of submitted self-assessments and corrective actions.
  • Review and revise accreditation requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of accreditation procedures and initiate process improvements.
  • Attend regular meetings with staff, stakeholders, client personnel, and advisors/consultants.
  • Minimum 30% travel required (national/international) to support accreditation activities.
  • Support market development and generate new business opportunities.

Must Have Qualifications:
  • Designation as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)
  • Member in good standing with relevant professional college [e.g., College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)]
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent Laboratory Medicine experience
  • Must have a valid Government issued driver's license
  • Native or advanced fluency in both French and English (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Word and Excel.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and as an independent contributor.
  • Knowledge and experience in quality management.
