This role sits at the center of SSD system design and verification, playing a critical part in delivering reliable, high-performing products.
Key Responsibilities include:- Debug and resolve complex issues across firmware, hardware, and system domains
- Perform performance, power, thermal, and reliability characterization
- Ensure products meet defined performance, reliability, and compliance requirements
- Develop and apply test and characterization methodologies
- Support DFMEA and design review activities
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing and customer teams
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of PCIe and NVMe protocols and system behavior
• Knowledge of SSD architecture including FTL, NAND management, and controller interaction
• Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, analyzers, and debug platforms
• Demonstrated use of AI Assisted tools for debugging, automation, or technical analysis!
Preferred Qualifications:• Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with SSD development, firmware interaction, or system validation
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Bash, or similar scripting languages
• Experience with power and thermal characterization techniques
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Work Location Requirement; This role is full-time onsite and based in Longmont, Colorado. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not supported for this position
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$146,000.00 - $247,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
