Position Summary...As a Staff Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, driving the full software development lifecycle with a focus on cloud-native architecture and AI/ML integration. What you'll do...- Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
- Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle activities-design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, maintenance-while leveraging AI to accelerate delivery and enhance quality across every stage of the SDLC.
- Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
- Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and ensure alignment with architectural best practices.
- Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components using multiple programming languages.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements and track success metrics.
What you'll bring:- Expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
- Strong experience in software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping to deliver maintainable and modular solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java.
- Lead full software development lifecycle activities including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience in leveraging AI to accelerate software development and improve engineering productivity.
- Skilled in DevOps engineering practices to enhance infrastructure, tooling, and developer productivity.
- Experience applying data-driven decision making to optimize engineering processes and outcomes.
- Ability to conduct design reviews and remedial actions to uphold quality and alignment with architectural standards.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00
