JOB DESCRIPTION

Stamford Health is looking for aFulltime DAY Shift ED and ED Behavioral Health RNto join the Emergency Department team!

This position is a FULLTIME DAY SHIFT position with the hours from 7am to 8pm, (3) 13-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays.

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS A BLENDED ED RN POSITION WORKING IN THE MAIN ED and FLOATED TO THE ED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH UNIT FOR COVERAGE PURPOSES, SHIFTS WILL VARY BETWEEN BOTH ED UNITS!

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department Nurse will coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. Provide supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit. Supervise unit activities when assigned to charge or clinical coordinator role. Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested. Adhere to all Stamford Hospital27s policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program. Provide safe and therapeutic care using the values inherent in our hospital culture.

Qualifications

  • Valid license as Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.

  • ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred; will consider candidates with a plan to pursue BSN or BSN in progress.

  • BLS certification required.

  • Minimum of one-year ED RN experience required.
