Full Job Description
We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager to join the Ad Marketplace team and lead Spotlight monetization and marketplace growth! What you'll do: • Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution for Spotlight monetization, balancing user engagement, content ecosystem health, advertiser value, and Snap’s business objectives. • Develop the Marketplace growth strategy for Spotlight, including inventory expansion, new monetization structures, advertiser demand activation, and marketplace-health improvements. • Serve as the Marketplace product lead for major Spotlight, content, and product changes that materially affect inventory supply, advertiser demand, auction dynamics, yield, advertiser performance, or revenue. • Assess the direct and downstream Marketplace impact of proposed product changes, and define response plans across inventory rollout, demand readiness, auction liquidity, measurement, ranking, bidding, pacing, and delivery. • Identify and address barriers that prevent advertisers from effectively accessing, adopting, and realizing value from Spotlight inventory. • Partner with Contents and Partnerships teams to strengthen the Spotlight ecosystem across consumers, creators, publishers, advertisers, and commercial partners. • Partner closely with Ad Format PMs and Design teams, which own format and UX development, to translate product-experience changes into Marketplace requirements and monetization strategies. • Work with Inventory Forecasting, Delivery, Auction, Ranking, Bidding, Pacing, Measurement, and Data Science teams to build scalable products that support healthy supply & demand growth. • Define success metrics and lead experimentation across monetizable supply, inventory utilization, advertiser adoption, auction health, yield, revenue, advertiser performance, and user and content guardrails. • Communicate product strategy, Marketplace implications, trade-offs, experiment results, and investment recommendations clearly to executives and cross-functional stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Deep expertise in advertising marketplaces, with strong familiarity across inventory supply, advertiser demand, auction mechanics, pricing, yield, ranking, bidding, pacing, and delivery. • Strong understanding of supply & demand dynamics and the ability to anticipate how a change on one side of the marketplace will affect the other. • Strong system-level thinking across users’ organic experiences, content ecosystems, advertiser objectives, marketplace mechanics, and company goals. • Demonstrated ability to translate consumer product or content changes into advertising marketplace implications and product requirements. • Strong understanding of feed-based, short-form video, content discovery, social, or entertainment products. • Strong product judgment regarding how monetization can be integrated into consumer experiences without compromising long-term user or ecosystem health. • Revenue-focused leadership with a track record of identifying and delivering meaningful marketplace or monetization growth. • Strong analytical mindset, with experience using experimentation, scenario analysis, marketplace metrics, and structured decision frameworks. • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-quarter initiatives from ambiguous problem definition through launch and measurable impact. • Proven ability to influence and align executives, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Partnerships, Sales, and other cross-functional leaders without relying on formal authority. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex marketplace dynamics and product trade-offs to technical and nontechnical audiences. • Ability to balance long-term marketplace strategy with detailed execution across multiple concurrent workstreams. Minimum Qualifications: • BS/BA degree or equivalent relevant experience • 8+ years of experience in consumer, digital advertising products, or marketplace products Preferred Qualifications: • BA/BS degree in in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, economics, or related field • Experience with ad and/or marketing technology at a top-tier digital ad platform • Experience working on complex landscapes where managing multiple trade-offs are required • Advanced quantitative degree (e.g. statistics, engineering, finance, math) • Experience with product development, software development, or interaction design "Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.These pay zones may be modified in the future. : The base salary range for this position is $229,000-$343,000 annually. Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $218,000-$326,000 annually. Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$292,000 annually. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
