Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy
• Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing
• 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in mail order or closed-door pharmacy
• Active Pharmacy License in one or more preferred states
• Strong command of English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy
• Technical aptitude with capability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy technicians to support the pharmacy manager
• Oversee data entry by pharmacy staff and ensure quality work
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and manage documentation
• Assist pharmacy manager in handling inquiries from major pharmacy chains and independents
• Manage the entire patient prescription transfer process
• Verify accuracy of prescriptions in a high-volume environment
• Review new and refill prescriptions for clinical appropriateness and accuracy
• Counsel patients proactively about medications via phone
• Collaborate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and laws
