Job Description:
The Staff Operations Officer (OPSO) is responsible for supporting a General Officer and other Senior Staff members in managing their day to day operations in the Intelligence Integration Branch, Intelligence Division, Deputy Commandant for Information (DC I), Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps (HQMC).The Staff OPSO will be responsible for task management and tracking, calendar management/scheduling and deconfliction, as well as perform as an office manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as an internal coordinator and task manager
  • Act as an advisor to the Senior leadership, the OPSO will keep leadership informed of potential calendar conflicts, late assignments, or leadership requirements for pending requirements
  • Administrative Support:
  • Provide administrative support to senior staff including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for internal and external distribution
  • Maintain organized filing systems and databases to ensure efficient document management
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Review and revise documents for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to organizational standards
  • Conduct quality checks on documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Expert in Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) style of task tracking through Microsoft O365, Confluence/JIRA, or similar application
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • General understanding of executive support requirements
  • Must work within broad guidelines and policies and subsequently explain complex, difficult and/or sensitive information to wide audience with wide-ranging levels of experience from none to expert
  • Must be good at working within a team to achieve a common end and working with often vague tasking environment

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Security Clearance Requirements:
  • TS/SCI
