Full Job Description
Description The Interior Designer will prepare designs, edit specifications, and prepare conceptual estimates for interior work, repair, and/or renovation of government, airport, and commercial-related facilities. This position creates, designs and implements interior design and space planning strategies and initiatives to ensure fluidity through the completion of the project.
  • Prepares designs, quantity calculations, designs, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for interiors of aviation and/or federal facilities.
  • Responsible for compiling data, provide elementary design computations, assist with preparation of internal design plans and renderings.
  • Responsible for furniture purchasing and reconfiguration.
  • Researches interior design products and make recommendations.
  • Researches, develops, and selects color, finish, and materials.
  • Responsible for recommending new ideas, formulas and methods.
  • Leads construction administration activities through site visits and review of schedules.
  • Responsible for maintaining conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in interior design, interior architecture, or similar field Required or
  • Master Degree in interior design, interior architecture, or similar field Required
  • Minimum four years of interior design experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated progress towards achieving NCIDQ certification.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of standard interior design concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  • Strong software and computer skills required, including BIM (Revit), Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, and organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • NCIDQ Certification Required
  • Valid driver's license Required

Compensation

$100,000.00-135,000.00 Yearly

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
