Key Responsibilities:
- Owns sustaining engineering for product electrical systems, power distribution and wiring.
- Investigates and resolves field and production electrical issues through root-cause analysis.
- Develops electrical design improvements, cost reductions and component-obsolescence solutions.
- Maintains electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs and change control (ECN/ECO).
- Supports agency certification and compliance activities (UL, CSA, NEC).
- Supports production troubleshooting, test-stand development and validation.
- Partners with suppliers on electrical components and qualification.
- Provides technical guidance to technicians and less-experienced engineers.
- Travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in a product or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HVAC/refrigeration product experience.
- 7+ years of experience in control panel design and layout, electrical component sizing and application, and ensuring Code Compliance is maintained (including UL, ETL, and UL 508A standards).
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, power distribution, motors, contactors and protection.
- Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and agency standards (NEC, UL, CSA).
- Experience with root-cause analysis, design validation and change control.
- Proven ability to resolve complex technical problems with limited supervision.
- Experience with variable-frequency drives and high-voltage systems.
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Other Compensation
Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
