Candidate SummaryYou'll handle day-to-day accounting tasks like reconciliations, invoices, and tax filings - keeping our financials tight as we grow. QuickBooks and NetSuite experience is a must, along with solid Excel skills.
Your Role in Action:- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
- Complete month-end closing tasks in coordination with the Controller.
- Process invoices and reconcile bank transactions in QuickBooks.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, bank reconciliations.
- Research and assist with setup of new museums (Business Licenses, Sales Tax, Property Tax, local and state tax requirements, etc.)
- Reconcile Workday payroll reports and ADP payments with bank activity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage depreciation schedules
- Compare budgets to actuals and flag discrepancies
- Process intercompany transfers
- Ensure compliance with payroll and sales tax regulations; file returns as required.
- Review company credit card transactions for policy compliance.
- Process credit applications and support annual audit preparation.
- Uphold internal accounting procedures and perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
What You'll Bring to the Team: - Associate's degree in accounting or a related field, or three years of accounting experience in lieu of degree.
- QuickBooks and NetSuite experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements/Demands - Must be able to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard, use a laptop and other office equipment.
- Must be able to properly express oneself, exchange information, communicate and converse with diverse cultures, races, and sexes.
- Must be able to use sight to detect, determine, perceive, observe, inspect, and assess situations.
Salary, Perks and Benefits - Salary range $80,000-$90,000
