Position Overview

Riverside Research is looking for a Staff Accountant, under the direction ofSenior Accounting Manager, will be a part of the accounting team andplay a key roleinmaintainingaccuratefinancial records in compliance with GAAP. This positionwill be supportingday-to-dayaccounting operationswith afocus on payroll.

Responsibilities

Payroll 6%

  • Processpayroll on a weekly and semi-monthly basis
  • Set-up leave accruals for new hires
  • Assist with payroll tax compliance
  • Process weekly expense report payments
  • Manage timesheet compliance
  • Partner closely with HR on payroll-related activities whilemaintainingthe highest level of confidentiality,professionalismand integrity.

Other 50%

  • Managecash-related transactions, including daily monitoring of bank activity, cash receipt processing, etc.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, develop action plans and lead resolutions on accounts
  • APprocessing includingvoucher entry, new vendorsetupand weekly check runs
  • Expense report reviewand approval
  • Assist with monthly closing activities
  • Assist with audits
  • Support special accounting projects and process improvements as needed
  • Providetimely, professional support to employees and external agenciesregardingpayroll and AP inquiries
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance orotherrelevant field
  • 2-5yearswork experiencein accounting with at least 1 year in processing payroll
  • Working knowledge of UKG payroll system or similar
  • Experience with ERP systems (CostPoint preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to research, analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and prioritize
  • Excellent listening and communication skills

Global Comp$70,000 - $100,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
