Full Job Description
The Staff Accountant at Iterative Health plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role supports day-to-day accounting functions, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial reporting across our growing organization. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented self-starter who is motivated to grow their accounting expertise in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment while contributing to broader financial compliance and operational excellence initiatives.
Where You'll Drive Impact
Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Handle day-to-day accounting duties including bank transactions and cash applications.
  • Prepare assigned journal entries and account reconciliations accurately and on time.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Utilize NetSuite for day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and general ledger activities.
  • Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.
  • Learn to use and master the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) to support research financial operations.
  • Post sponsor study payments accurately within the research CTMS.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality control of financial data collection for clinical research trials in CTMS.
  • Collaborate with research operations and site network teams to support financial reporting tied to clinical trial activity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and support cost analysis initiatives.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining information files, processing paperwork, and other tasks as requested.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy across accounting workflows.

What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or active progress toward CPA preferred.
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite ERP for general ledger, reporting, and day-to-day operations.
  • Experience with cash transactions and bank account reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with expense reports, credit card expenditure analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within the healthcare, biotech, or healthcare technology industry.
  • Familiarity with clinical research operations or sponsor payment workflows.
  • Experience supporting external audits or SOX compliance activities.
  • Exposure to multi-entity or intercompany accounting environments.
