Position Overview:Eligible for a hybrid work schedule split between home & office, with a minimum of 3 days in the office each week.Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant plays an important role in supporting the company's accounting and financial reporting functions. You'll be involved in the month-end close process, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Here's more of what you'll get to do:Responsibilities- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations utilizing Cadency software.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account analyses and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage assigned data imports into the Company's ERP system, Infor CloudSuite.
- Analyze financial results and prepare comparisons to historical trends and budgets.
- Maintain effective internal controls to ensure transactions comply with Company policies and are accurately reflected in financial statements.
- Assist with quarterly audits by working directly with internal and external auditors to provide supporting documentation and explanations.
- Support the preparation and review of periodic SEC filings and related disclosures.
- Complete ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects to support business initiatives.
- Partner with departments throughout the organization to gather information and resolve accounting-related matters.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and support finance and accounting system enhancements.
What we require:What we require:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of general accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
What we prefer:- Experience in the restaurant industry or other multi-unit retail environments.
- Public accounting and/or publicly traded company experience.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Infor CloudSuite Financial.
- Knowledge of Cadency or similar account reconciliation software.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control environments.
- Experience supporting SEC reporting processes.
- Exposure to business intelligence or financial reporting tools.
