Kobre & Kim's Global Finance Department is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly dependable Staff Accountant to join our global finance team. This position is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who is eager to develop a broad skill set across accounting, treasury, audit, partner compensation, and tax functions.
The Staff Accountant will initially focus on core accounting, audit support responsibilities, cash management, and treasury administration. As the individual demonstrates strong performance, reliability, sound judgment, and the ability to manage increasing levels of responsibility, the role will progressively expand to include more complex accounting, partner compensation, treasury, and tax-related activities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other balance sheet accounts regularly. Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Process and record cash receipts and ensure proper application of incoming funds.
- Assist with treasury operations, including entering payments into online banking platforms and supporting payment processing activities.
- Assist with banking administration, including maintaining banking records, documentation, and user access requests.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Assist with annual financial statement audits and other regulatory or compliance audits by preparing supporting schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Accurately enter and maintain financial transactions within Elite 3E and other financial systems.
- Assist the accounting team with additional duties including partner compensation accounting, monthly tax schedule preparation and filings, annual financial reporting and partnership tax filings.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies.
- Collaborate with finance team members and business stakeholders globally.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in a relevant field required.
- Accounting degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a relevant position is required.
- Big 4 experience is a plus but not required.
- Experienced in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong Excel skills required.
- 3e or Aderant law firm accounting software experience highly preferred.

At the time of posting, the salary range for this role is $66,000 (minimum) – $100,000 (maximum). This range is based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus. The successful candidate’s actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
