Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• 3+ years of experience in a general ledger capacity.
• Strong Excel skills required with experience in automated ledger applications like Microsoft Dynamics.
• Familiarity with Oracle / Hyperion Essbase and/or OneStream is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial review and analysis for the Funeral Home Location during the monthly close.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks.
• Collaborate with Corporate and Field Personnel for financial information and analysis explanations.
• Compile journal entries and support during reviews as needed.
• Assist field location processors and Managing Partners with operational questions during month-end and beyond.
• Review inventory reconciliations from physical counts to ledgers and improve processes where necessary.
• Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and post approved journals to the general ledger.
• Identify and recommend process improvements for enhanced efficiencies and quality assurance.
