SUMMARY

The Senior Vice President of Operations provides executive leadership for Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials Management, Procurement, production planning, inventory management, and continuous improvement. This role is accountable for translating customer demand and business strategy into reliable production, product availability, cost performance, quality, and customer delivery.

The SVP owns the integrated sales and operations planning process, including demand and supply alignment, capacity planning, master scheduling, material availability, inventory strategy, manufacturing execution, and finished-goods planning. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the SVP advises the President on operational strategy, capacity, supply-chain risk, manufacturing investment, engineering priorities, and operating performance.

Scope of Responsibility

The Senior Vice President of Operations has executive accountability for building a scalable, high-performing operations organization across manufacturing operations, engineering, materials management, procurement, production planning, and operational excellence. The role ensures the organization consistently improves safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, working capital, and customer satisfaction.

In partnership with Regional Operational Centers of Excellence, the SVP leverages enterprise best practices while maintaining the flexibility needed to meet local operating requirements and support sustainable growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Senior Vice President of Operations has executive accountability for all manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, materials management, and operational excellence within the organization.

  • Develop and execute the enterprise operations strategy aligned with corporate and regional business objectives.
  • Provide executive leadership to all manufacturing operations while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and develop a high-performing operations leadership team through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Lead organizational transformation initiatives that improve operational capability and business performance.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the Executive Leadership Team on manufacturing strategy, operational risks, and investment priorities.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
  • MBA or master's degree preferred.
  • Executive leadership experience in complex, multi-site manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, capital planning, operational transformation, and organizational change.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing teams and improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred credentials include APICS CPIM or CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, ISO quality systems experience, global or multi-site manufacturing leadership, and experience collaborating with regional or enterprise Centers of Excellence.


PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS

Non-Manufacturing:
  • Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
  • Requires standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift boxes/materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Requires telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interactions with other employees and customers.
  • Ability to read, write, listen, and communicate effectively.
