Responsibilities

  • Oversee dock operations at the terminal
  • Manage loading and unloading of freight and forklift traffic
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff

  • Monitor dock production to meet Key Performance Indicator goals
  • Maintain safety compliance with DOT/OSHA standards
  • Ensure operational model compliance
  • Support a culture of quality service for customers

Full Job Description
Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of: Monday-Friday 6:00AM-4:00PM Salary ranges from: $75,000-$90,000/year + up to an additional 20% in quarterly bonuses Terminal Manager Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  • Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred
  • Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees
  • Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
  • High aptitude for technology
  • The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
  • Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work 50 hours/week average
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversee dock operations at the terminal
  • This includes the process of loading & unloading freight, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff
  • Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers
  • Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded
  • Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
  • Ensure company operational model compliance
  • Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase
