Salary Range: $77,000 - $119,000

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
Your role
The Senior Technical Support Engineer provides expert technical support for Edwards Vacuum's semiconductor vacuum pump portfolio by resolving product issues with minimal impact to customers and operations, serving as a product performance and failure analysis authority, and driving product improvements, obsolescence solutions, and technical innovation in collaboration with global customers, service centers, and cross-functional teams.

The Senior Technical Support Engineer is accountable for the following principal areas of work:
• Resolve complex product, application, quality, and safety issues for customers and operations to minimize business disruption, protect customer satisfaction, and ensure timely containment and corrective action.
• Establish product performance and failure analysis conclusions that enable accurate root cause identification, data-driven recommendations, and effective resolution of field and factory issues.
• Provide authoritative technical support for assigned Edwards Vacuum pump products so customers, service centers, Product Companies, and internal teams receive clear, accurate, and timely technical guidance.
• Lead and support product improvement and obsolescence resolution outcomes that improve reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and long-term product supportability.
• Deliver technical investigations and support commitments on agreed timelines, quality expectations, and cost objectives to meet customer, operational, and business priorities.
• Produce complete technical documentation, test evidence, and communication outputs that meet Edwards, customer, and semiconductor industry standards and enable informed decision-making.
• Strengthen cross-functional technical capability and continuous improvement by sharing expertise, improving analysis and test practices, and collaborating effectively across R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, customers, and service teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent technical education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in technical support, product engineering, failure analysis, manufacturing engineering, or product development for complex mechanical, electromechanical, vacuum, compressor, pump, or rotating equipment systems.
• Practical experience resolving product, production, service, or customer issues using structured investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action methods.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, service centers, and customers to deliver technical issue resolution or product improvement outcomes.
