Description of Task to be Performed: AnaVation is seeking a
Sr Systems Administrator to join our team and support our mission critical customer in Reston, VA.
As a Sr Systems Administrator you will:
- Plan, design, and implement infrastructure changes and system upgrades.
- Manage and troubleshoot multiple VMware environments.
- Provide Windows Server and Linux administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Create STIG compliant images for Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux OS.
- Create, test, and deploy software packages using software deployment products such as SCCM, PDQ, etc.
- Provide expert level support and mentoring for Mid and Junior System Administrator personnel.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures for system and software changes.
- Utilize scripting to automate common tasks.
- Perform hardware maintenance/repair activities.
- Ensure proper planning and execution of major projects/maintenance activities.
- Provide advanced level administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers.
Required Qualifications:- Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
- Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience related to specific functional area
- Certifications: Current active CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IAT Level II
- Required Experience and knowledge on:
- Ability to write scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Experience managing VMware, Nutanix, and other types of enterprise level Virtual Infrastructures.
- Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO).
Preferred Qualifications:- Linux OS (CentOS, RHEL) administration.
