Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end supply planning and execution across a multi-site manufacturing network in the U.S. and Mexico. This role ensures alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and business strategy for key revenue-generating product lines.

This position plays a critical role in driving service excellence, optimizing inventory and working capital, and improving supply chain responsiveness in a highly engineered, make-to-stock and make-to-order industrial environment.

The Sr. Manager serves as a key decision-maker and strategic partner across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, and Finance teams, while leading the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process and enabling data-driven decision making.

What You'll Do

1. End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership
  • Own the end-to-end supply plan for assigned product lines across a multi-site manufacturing network
  • Balance service, cost, and inventory to support customer commitments and business performance
  • Translate business and commercial strategies into actionable supply chain plans


2. SIOP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Leadership
  • Lead the monthly SIOP process for assigned value streams, aligning demand, supply, and financial objectives
  • Facilitate cross-functional consensus across Commercial, Manufacturing, and Finance teams
  • Present supply scenarios, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Drive a rolling 12-18 month supply and inventory plan aligned to business priorities


3. Network Planning & Optimization
  • Optimize production planning and inventory positioning across U.S. and Mexico manufacturing sites
  • Identify and resolve constraints (capacity, materials, labor, supplier limitations)
  • Drive improvements in inventory turns, service levels, and network efficiency
  • Evaluate and execute what-if scenarios to support strategic and tactical decisions


4. Service & Execution Excellence
  • Ensure best-in-class customer service levels (OTTR / Fill Rate)
  • Provide proactive visibility and communication of supply risks, backlogs, and recovery plans
  • Drive alignment between production execution and SIOP plans
  • Act as escalation point for supply disruptions with urgency and accountability


5. Inventory & Working Capital Management
  • Own inventory strategies across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Optimize working capital while protecting customer service
  • Establish inventory targets aligned with business segment requirements and variability


6. Data-Driven Decision Making & Digital Enablement
  • Leverage Oracle, and APCC tools to drive planning accuracy and visibility
  • Utilize advanced analytics and scenario modeling to support decision-making
  • Champion improvements in planning processes, master data integrity, and system adoption
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation within the planning function


7. Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, Customer Service, and Finance
  • Influence decision-making across functions to balance service, cost, and operational feasibility
  • Build strong partnerships with plant leadership and commercial teams


8. Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide leadership and oversight to an indirect network of planners across multiple sites
  • Coach and develop planning teams to improve capabilities and consistency
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement


Requirements and Preferred Skills

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in supply planning, production planning, or S&OP leadership
  • Experience working across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Strong ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex, constrained environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or engineered products environment
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle / APCC planning systems
  • Experience managing capacity-constrained supply environments
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) certification
  • Experience with SQL, data analytics, or supply chain digital tools
  • Exposure to end-to-end supply chain functions (planning, logistics, manufacturing)

PAY & BENEFITS

  2. Salary Range: $123,500 - $150,000
  3. Bonus Eligible

  5. Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  6. Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
