We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our newly formed Enterprise Experience Team, which delivers polished user experiences and cross-cutting enterprise features that set our platform apart. In this high-impact role, you'll own the end-to-end delivery of features that directly drive enterprise adoption, from accessibility improvements and contextual workflows to rapid responses on urgent customer needs. Partnering closely with Client Success, Commercial, and Marketing, you'll ensure we prioritize and deliver the features that matter most to customers. In doing so, you'll reduce friction, build trust, and strengthen our competitive advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Build and enhance fullstack applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js, delivering both usability and performance.
  • Work cross-functionally to translate customer feedback into intuitive, high-impact solutions.
  • Drive features from concept to production, including design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Deliver reliable, observable enterprise features that maintain uptime and build customer trust.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor teammates, and raise the technical bar across the team.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to post-incident reviews to drive long-term reliability.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8-12 years of professional software engineering experience, with deep fullstack expertise.
  • Strong background in frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript) and backend services (Node.js, PostgreSQL).
  • Proven success designing and shipping scalable enterprise-facing features in production environments.
  • Skilled at mentorship, technical reviews, and driving architecture decisions.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to weigh tradeoffs in performance, maintainability, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with observability tooling (logs, alerts, dashboards) and operational best practices.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Exposure to event-driven architecture and integrations with 3rd-party platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native environments (Docker, AWS ECS/EKS, CI/CD pipelines, IaC).


The base salary range for this role varies by location and is aligned to market benchmarks.
  • Candidates located in higher-cost labor markets, including California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington, DC represent the middle to high end of the range, while candidates located in all other U.S. locations represent the low to middle end of the range.
  • Final compensation is determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.

This role is eligible for a 15% target annual bonus, resulting in the following base salary and Total Target Compensation (TTC) ranges:
  • Base Salary: $153,000 - $179,000
  • TTC: $176,000 - $206,000

*Total Target Compensation (TTC): Total Cash Compensation (including base pay, variable pay, commission, bonuses, etc.) Additionally, stock options, paid benefits, and employee perks are part of your total rewards.

Clearly is an online retailer of contact lenses, eyeglasses and sunglasses. The company was acquired by EssilorLuxottica Canada, and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are one of the largest online contact lens retailers in North America, and the largest seller of prescription eyeglasses online in the world. Founded in 2000 as Coastal Contacts by Roger Hardy and his sister Michaela Hardy, who bought the keyword "contact lens" from AltaVista, which meant that all searches for "contact lens" were accompanied with Coastal Contacts' banner ads. In the first day, they had 30 orders; within the first month, they had $68,000 in sales. In addition to their lower pricing, the firm provided same day fulfillment of online orders.
