Summary:

The Senior Six Sigma Analyst partners closely with operational leaders, and cross-functional teams to action strategic improvement opportunities. This role includes leading complex improvement initiatives, translating business challenges into analytical solutions, and delivering actionable insights through service business reviews, operational assessments, and improvement workshops. This position combines strong leadership, advanced analytical expertise, and deep operational knowledge.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Ohio Machinery strategic goals by translating complex business problems into data driven analytical opportunities.
  • Evaluates data quality and identifies methods to optimize processes and systems for compiling high-quality data.
  • Completes data analysis such as descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analysis leading to the presentation of recommendations to the business.
  • Leads data analysis projects and employs exceptional statistical analysis and problem-solving skills to interpret Ohio Machinery and third-party data, presenting insights in easy-to-understand presentations and visualizations shared with management and other business functions.
  • Leverages data to improve return on assets while supporting customer growth.
  • Coordinates data collection activities and strengthens business intelligence integration between the organization, Six Sigma, and the Data Warehouse team.
  • Supports and communicates company initiatives, policies, and procedures while reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • This role partners and supports operations across all company locations and will require travel as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience in parts and service operations, data analysis, engineering, systems, or a related discipline, with demonstrated senior-level accountability for complex workstreams or initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF/THEN, COUNT functions), conditional formatting, graphing, and data validation.
  • Working knowledge of intermediate statistical methods, including regression analysis, ANOVA, and t-tests.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and process documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with SQL, business intelligence tools, and analysis of financial data such as P&L statements and accounting ledgers is a plus.
  • Advanced computer, reporting, and information retrieval skills; experience with enterprise systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.


Physical Requirements:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
