Full Job Description
As a Scientist I/II in our Global Biology research team, you will independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret complex in vivo experiments to support compound screening and pharmacology profiling for novel therapeutics in obesity and metabolic diseases. You will play a key role in advancing our understanding of disease mechanisms through hands-on study execution and cross-functional collaboration.

We offer exciting responsibilities:
• Independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret complex in vivo experiments in mice or rats to support compound screening, pharmacology profiling, and development of novel therapeutics in obesity and metabolic diseases (e.g., diabetes, MASH, and kidney diseases)
• Perform drug compound administration via multiple routes (oral gavage, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, intravenous), along with biological sample collection, data recording, and sample processing
• Contribute to mechanism and site-of-action studies, including metabolic phenotyping, in vivo imaging, histology/microscopy, and molecular/biochemical analyses
• Ensure rigorous data analysis, interpretation, and communication of in vivo studies to enable timely, high-quality decisions across programs
• Present research findings to project teams and governance bodies, and prepare technical reports
• Collaborate with external academic, biotechnology, and contract research organizations to advance understanding of obesity and metabolic diseases

Your profile

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time-management skills to your work. You are a strong communicator and collaborator who enjoys working across functional teams to drive scientific progress.

Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biology, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field with 5-8+ years of experience, Master's degree with 6-14+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8-16+ years of experience
• Proven ability to independently design and execute complex in vivo studies in rodent models
• Hands-on experience with multiple routes of compound administration and biological sample collection/processing
• Experience contributing to mechanism and site-of-action studies (metabolic phenotyping, in vivo imaging, histology/microscopy, molecular/biochemical analyses)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to project teams and governance bodies
• Strong collaborative skills, with demonstrated ability to work across Chemistry, in vitro Pharmacology, DMPK/Safety, and Formulation functions

Your new team

You will join the Global Biology research organization and work closely with cross-functional colleagues to progress discovery programs from early pharmacology through preclinical candidate selection. The team operates at the interface of in vivo biology, translational science, and drug discovery decision-making, with broad collaboration across internal stakeholders and external partners.

Interested in bonding with us? Please apply as soon as possible. The applications will be reviewed as they come in. While a cover letter is not required, please include a few sentences in your CV explaining your motivation for applying.
