Join Bank of America's Healthcare, Education & Not-for-Profit (HENFP) business-part of the Global Commercial Bank-and play a leading role in expanding our presence in the Connecticut market. The Senior Relationship Manager is a high-impact, client-facing role responsible for driving new business, deepening existing relationships, and delivering profitable growth across a portfolio of complex, mission-driven organizations. The Healthcare, Education and Not-For-Profit Group ("HENFP") is unique in that our client teams are dedicated to providing specialized products and solutions to Not-for-Profit Healthcare (hospitals, health systems and insurance providers), Private Higher Education, and Not- For- Profits (charitable, cultural, social and leading Non-Governmental organizations); with annual revenues starting at $50 million and with no upper limit on revenue size of those organizations (the largest exceed $20 billion in annual revenue). Our client relationship teammates, located in the U.S. and around the globe, partner across our company to provide a wide range of financial services, integrated working capital management and treasury solutions, and underwriting and advisory services.

Job Description:
The Senior Relationship Manager is the primary relationship owner and trusted advisor for a portfolio of Healthcare, Education & Not-for-Profit clients. The role is responsible for driving new client acquisition, deepening existing relationships, and coordinating the delivery of the full capabilities of Bank of America.

Successful candidates will possess strong healthcare industry expertise, commercial banking acumen, credit knowledge, and the ability to engage effectively with CEOs, CFOs, Treasurers, Board members, and other senior executives.

The Senior Relationship Manager partners closely with product specialists and senior leaders to develop strategic client plans, deliver sophisticated financial solutions, and increase market share across targeted industry segments.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of Healthcare, Education, and Nonprofit relationships, delivering strategic advice and customized solutions across treasury management, liquidity, credit, capital markets, wealth management, and other enterprise solutions.
  • Achieve trusted advisor status with executive leadership teams, providing insights on industry trends, capital planning, liquidity management, operational efficiency, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive relationship growth strategies that increase profitability, deepen client engagement, and increase market and wallet share.
  • Identify and acquire new client relationships through proactive prospecting, industry networking, referral development, and strategic business development efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of product specialists and banking professionals to deliver integrated client solutions and exceptional client experiences.
  • Analyze financial performance, industry dynamics, and organizational strategies to assess creditworthiness, identify risks, and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Represent Bank of America in the healthcare and nonprofit communities through industry associations, conferences, and executive networking opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop junior bankers while fostering collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance team culture.
  • Adapt client strategies to evolving market conditions, industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.

Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years' experience in broad based commercial lending/corporate finance/relationship management experience
• Demonstrates management capability of an extensive portfolio of Healthcare, Education and NFP clients with revenues greater than $50 million.
• Proven track record of prospecting new business, enhancing existing relationships and closing profitable transactions.
• Professional proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution and follow up of client meetings.
• Strong corporate finance, capital markets and accounting acumen.
• Financial modeling experience and the completion of a formal credit training preferred.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Capable of organizing, facilitating, leading and negotiating with a team of bank associates to solve client problems.
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & 63 (Must obtain SIE, series 7 & 63 license within 180 days of start date)
• Travel up to 30%

Desired Skills:
• Undergraduate degree in related field or equivalent work experience. MBA desirable.
• Existing knowledge of the market preferred.
• Active member/participation in local community organizations.
• Highly desirable to have active networking contacts and Centers of Influence established in market.
• Desire to work in a specialty team with an interest in Healthcare, Education & NFP institutions.

Pay range

$120,000.00 - $235,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
