Full Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Project Manager, Planning and Landscape Architecture for our Houston office. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: The Sr. Project Manager plays a crucial role in project and client relationship management, ensuring overall satisfaction within their business unit. They oversee the accurate and timely execution of projects, manage financial aspects, and lead Senior Discipline Leads and subordinates. Additionally, the Sr. Project Manager takes charge of developing and implementing sales and strategic plans. Once selected to join our team, you will: • Manage projects and maintain strong client relationships. • Oversee overall project management and ensure client satisfaction within the business unit. • Manage business unit project financials, ensuring profitability and efficiency. • Ensure all projects within the business unit are executed accurately and on schedule. • Independently manage proposal preparation. • Review and approve proposals prepared by senior discipline leads and other team members. • Lead and manage senior discipline leads and their teams. • Handle escalated employee matters with professionalism and efficiency. • Oversee employee development and performance management. • Support company-wide initiatives and align with Dunaway's strategic goals. • Develop and execute the sales plan for the business unit. • Create and implement the strategic plan for the business unit. • Meet the $2M-$2.5M net revenue goal for the business unit. • Drive business growth through strategic hires, client relationships, and lead generation. • Perform other duties as assigned. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE: • Expertise in Dunaway CAD standards, with a strong focus on PLA CAD standards. • Deep understanding of Dunaway design standards, specifically PLA design principles. SKILLS: • Extensive knowledge of the line of business. • Strong understanding of Dunaway operations and AEC industry project disciplines. • Advanced ability to estimate costs associated with technical tasks. • Expertise in meeting and delivering project requirements effectively. • Strong financial acumen in managing project performance metrics aligned with company goals. • Proven ability to oversee multi-discipline projects. • Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across Dunaway. • Exceptional decision-making abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong negotiation capabilities. • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement business objectives. • Proactive and results-driven approach. • Effective leadership and team management skills. • Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams toward success. EXPERIENCE: • Typically 10+ years of experience in landscape design. • Generally, 6+ years as a PLA or 15 years of relevant landscape design experience without a degree. • At least 5 years of project management experience, including financial oversight. • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing client relationships. • 4-6 years of experience in a supervisory role. • 4-6 years of experience in business development. • 0-2 years of experience in strategic planning. EDUCATION: • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture or 15 years of relevant landscape design experience • Licensed as a Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) in the state of Texas
