Description ABOUT THIS ROLE We are looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to build and own the product marketing function at Xe. You will define our ideal customer profiles, own positioning and messaging across segments, and lead go-to-market strategy for a fast-moving product roadmap spanning business payments and consumer money transfer. Xe is one of the most recognized names in currency, and this role is central to evolving how the market sees us: from a trusted source for FX information to a full cross-border payments provider for businesses and consumers.
This is a high-visibility, foundational role on a growing marketing team. You will be the connective tissue between Product, Marketing, and Sales, translating the product roadmap into campaigns, content, launches, and enablement, and bringing customer and competitive insight back into roadmap decisions. Your work will directly influence acquisition, activation, adoption, and revenue.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Define and own ideal customer profiles, segmentation, positioning, messaging, and value propositions across our business (SME) and consumer segments, with a particular focus on establishing Xe as the cross-border payments platform for small and mid-sized businesses
- Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for new product and feature launches (accounts, payments capabilities, integrations, and more), coordinating across Product, Growth, Lifecycle, Content, Sales, and regional teams from launch planning through post-launch measurement
- Anchor messaging in real customer use cases, such as paying international suppliers, managing multi-currency operations, and embedding payments into existing business workflows, so campaigns and content speak to the jobs customers are hiring us for
- Develop messaging frameworks and proof points that power landing pages, paid campaigns, lifecycle journeys, B2B lead nurture, and sales conversations, and partner with brand and performance teams so brand and demand efforts ladder to one consistent story
- Drive sales enablement: build playbooks, pitch narratives, competitive battlecards, and collateral that help our sales and partnerships teams position the product consistently and win
- Build and maintain deep customer and competitive intelligence across the cross-border payments landscape (fintechs and banks alike), and translate insights into positioning, content, and roadmap input
- Partner with Product Management to inform roadmap priorities with market and customer evidence, and align launch scope, success metrics, and adoption targets
- Champion the voice of the customer internally through research, win/loss insights, reviews, and frontline feedback loops, and measure how positioning and launches perform against acquisition, conversion, and retention goals
- Support pricing and packaging communication so value, transparency, and trust come through clearly at every customer touchpoint
REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2-3 years in product marketing, ideally in fintech, payments, B2B SaaS, or another regulated, high-velocity digital business
- Experienced marketing to business audiences: you understand how SMEs evaluate financial and operational tools, and how B2B buying differs from consumer, while still able to flex into consumer messaging
- A sharp positioning mind: you can distill complex products into simple, differentiated messaging built on trust, transparency, and clear value, and you know how to reposition an established brand into new territory
- Proven experience leading cross-functional go-to-market launches from planning through post-launch measurement
- Experienced building sales enablement that reps actually use, and comfortable working shoulder to shoulder with sales and partnerships teams
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable with funnel metrics, competitive benchmarking, and customer research, and able to turn data into decisions
- Excellent writer and communicator who can flex from executive narrative to conversion copy direction
- Experienced partnering with product managers and comfortable influencing without authority in a fast-moving, test-and-learn environment
- Curious about customers and quick to get out of the building: surveys, interviews, win/loss calls, reviews, and frontline feedback are all part of your toolkit
- Fluency with AI tools for research, content development, and workflow acceleration is a strong plus
- Experience in cross-border payments, FX, embedded finance, or ERP/accounting software ecosystems is a strong plus
