Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will work directly with internal and external customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to define Amazon Leo service offerings via expertly crafted working backwards, business requirements documents which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables. You will be responsible for vision, strategy, and roadmap around our privacy portfolio of customer-facing products and internal tools.
Own privacy portfolio input metrics end-to-end - define what to measure, instrument tracking, connect product decisions to outcomes, and report trends to senior leadership.
This role requires the ability to work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment, dive deep into data, have strong writing skills and be comfortable leading executive-level reviews.
The best candidates will have deep understanding of customer needs for modern telecommunication services. Candidates with demonstrated business and operational experience in telecommunications, privacy, or regulatory domains, or experience operating at scale across consumer and enterprise verticals are preferred.

A day in the life
You'll partner daily with engineering, legal, and policy teams to translate complex privacy requirements into product specs. A typical week includes customer research sessions, sprint planning with engineers, writing PRFAQs for new privacy features, and presenting roadmap updates to senior leadership. You'll navigate ambiguity across 100+ country regulatory landscapes and make trade-off decisions that directly impact millions of Leo customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience with risk management or technical product or program management ideally in a privacy, security, legal, or compliance role
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
