Full Job Description
The Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager, Discovery Experience to own the consumer-facing surfaces that connect eaters with the meals they'll love.

This is the most-trafficked real estate in the product. From the moment a subscriber opens the app to the moment they complete their order, every screen they touch - the home screen, search, menu, collections, product detail pages, and cart - falls within this role's remit. You'll own the product vision, roadmap, and execution across all of it.

You'll work closely with Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Merchandising to make the discovery experience feel effortless, personal, and exciting.
What You'll Do

Own the Discovery Surface End-to-End
  • Set and drive the product vision and roadmap across Home Screen, Search, Menu, Swimlanes, Collections, Product Tile & Detail, Cart & Checkout, and Core UI Components.
  • Define a coherent discovery experience across web and mobile that scales with catalog complexity and evolving user needs.
  • Manage a large, diverse surface area with competing priorities without losing coherence or momentum.

Ship High-Impact Consumer Features
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to build, iterate, and launch features that meaningfully improve how eaters find and choose meals.
  • Own the product layer of CookUnity's server-driven UI (SDUI) system - thinking critically about how the component architecture enables flexibility for merchandisers while maintaining a great eater experience.
  • Drive experimentation across discovery surfaces with rigorous metric frameworks.

Elevate the UX
  • Partner tightly with Design to create discovery experiences that reduce friction, build confidence, and feel intuitive across every entry point.
  • Own the quality and consistency of core UI components (loading states, error screens, coachmarks, modals) as a shared foundation across the product.
  • Maintain a high bar for mobile and web parity, while allowing for platform-native patterns where they matter.

Navigate the Frontend/Intelligence Seam
  • Work as a close counterpart to the Sr. PM, Personalization & AI - jointly owning decisions that live at the intersection of how surfaces are designed and what intelligence powers them.
  • Translate what the personalization and AI systems are capable of into frontend experiences that make that intelligence visible and useful to eaters.
  • Bring a clear point of view to surface-level decisions even when the upstream inputs are probabilistic, evolving, or contested.

Drive Measurable Business Impact
  • Improve conversion across browse surfaces (home, search, swimlanes, collections, full menu).
  • Reduce checkout abandonment and cart-to-order friction.
  • Lift overall funnel CVR and contribution to weekly order frequency and reduction of subscriber churn.
You Are
  • A senior, frontend-first product thinker with deep instincts for consumer UX and a track record of owning high-traffic discovery or browsing surfaces.
  • Comfortable holding a wide, complex surface area - you can zoom out to set coherent strategy across many screens while staying close enough to the details to make good product decisions.
  • A strong design partner who can elevate the quality of an experience, not just spec it.
  • Technically grounded enough to work fluently with frontend engineers, understand component architecture, and reason about how system-level decisions affect the user experience.
  • Genuinely excited by the challenge of making a large, dynamic food catalog feel simple and delightful to browse.
  • Collaborative and low-ego at the seam between your work and adjacent PM domains; you know how to maintain shared ownership without losing accountability.
  • Rigorous about experimentation and metrics without being paralyzed by them.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including meaningful ownership of consumer-facing mobile and/or web surfaces at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience with discovery, browsing, search, or shopping experiences, ideally in a marketplace or catalog-heavy product.
  • Strong UX instincts and a proven track record of close collaboration with design teams.
  • Comfortable with frontend product systems (component libraries, server-driven UI, feature flags) and able to partner effectively with frontend engineers.
  • Experience running A/B experiments, defining metrics, and making data-informed decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication; able to influence design, engineering, and business stakeholders across a complex organization.
  • Proven ability to manage a large roadmap across multiple surfaces simultaneously.
