About the roleThe Senior Procurement Specialist is primarily responsible for managing the local/regional Procurement process in accordance with established Reworld procedures and policies. This role leads all facility Procurement activities from supplier qualification through performance management and is responsible for all related supplier onboarding activities, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, and acceptable business practices.
The Senior Specialist builds and maintains strong working relationships with the Facility Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams and serves as a key advisor on contractual rights and obligations, as well as procurement strategy. This role also provides leadership and guidance on procurement initiatives and may oversee direct reports.

- Request for Proposal (RFP) development, bid receipt, market comparisons, evaluation/analysis, and negotiations
- Coordination and participation in bid review conferences and walk-downs
- Finalization activities, including negotiations, contract awards, follow-up, and dispute resolution
- Purchase order placement and expediting
- Leading cost reduction and value optimization initiatives; supporting supplier quality assurance programs
- Supplier performance analysis and contract compliance oversight to determine the need for amendments or extensions
- Compilation and analysis of data to support cost reporting and annual budgeting processes
- Providing training and guidance to internal stakeholders on Procurement systems and processes
- Managing supplier relationships and strengthening the supplier base through site visits and technical engagement
- Participation in Corporate and regional Procurement meetings and initiatives
- Leading and/or coordinating activities of facility personnel involved in defining the scopes of work and specifications
- Sourcing maintenance spare parts across Reworld facilities to optimize shared inventory pools
- Supporting KPI development, tracking, and reporting to drive procurement performance and continuous improvement
Education- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- ISM and/or APICS certification preferred but not required
Experience- 5+ years of relevant procurement and supply chain experience required
- Experience in industrial or facility-based environments strongly preferred
- Prior experience leading projects or mentoring team members is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Strong understanding of procurement contracting, legal terms, risk management, warranties, and liability
- Ability to manage complex negotiations and make data-driven decisions
- Experience with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling, contract structures, and change management
- Understanding of contracting types, including lump sum and Time & Materials
- Ability to develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective internal and external partnerships
- High level of safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices
- Comfortable working in both office and industrial environments (heat, noise, odor, etc.)
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP) and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical audiences

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $97,481.00 - $134,010.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
